Well finally got a new map launched for the site as well as a new domain (http://www.visithistoriccities.com/).
The new map is a global view of the history of crime (www.visithistoriccities.com/crime.aspx) which covers everything from fraud to serial killers over the centuries.
It has taken about 3 months in developing. The project is still ongoing as there is a lot of material to add and I'm finding that obtaining information from some countries such as Russia, India and the Far East is not easy to find, so if anyone has info and photos relating to non-English speaking countries then I'd be pleased to hear from you.
As with the other subjects, the photos are purely for on-screen viewing and not suitable for printing.
Unlike the other subjects, and because this provides a global perspective, I added the functionality to multi-link the Google Map info windows, so when an info window opens, it displays links to other info windows so the user can jump from one subject to another.
Hope you like it. Some amazing stories. Some creepy ones as well.
