Primal Scream - Screamadelica

Went to see Primal Scream last night at Glasgow SECC and the crowd weren't disappointed. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Screamadelica album this was the real deal as the band with gospel singers and all original contributors belted out the full set for over an hour and a half followed by a "best of" including Country Girl and Rocks.

The music swayed from mellow to thunderous, at times building up to a crescendo of guitar, base and drum wall of sound that had the place jumping. The only down side, if you can even say that, was I'd hoped they would end on Exterminator, but they didn't disappoint and it still took a few hours to come down from an exhilirating night.

Best bits: The opening Movin' On Up with the gospel singers, Higher Than The Sun which just built up and built up into an amazing rendition and Loaded.
